For the first time since 1994 RHGC returned to Mortonhall Golf Club for its August outing. On a warm, humid day the course was found to be in excellent condition with many complimentary comments being made by the members at the 19th afterwards and several being keen for the golf club to return to the venue sooner rather than later.
Playing a stableford format local member Thomas Grant was the winner of the Majority Cup with a fantastic score of 39 pts. The runner on the day with an equally impressive 38pts being Dave Simpson.

10th – Stevie Lugton
17th – James McCormack
Five 2’s on the day were recorded – Thomas Grant at the 7th, Stevie Lugton on the 10th, Norman Maclachlan on the 17th and James McCormack on the 10th & 17th holes.
Closest to the hole in 2 at the 18th hole was won by Dave Simpson.
The tri-am competition was won by Steve Lugton and Alan Gray with a score of 45
The next outing will be held at Mar Hall on Friday 6th September and is a one round pm competition however prior to that the golf club will be having its annual challenge match against Leven Golfing Society on Sunday 1st September.
