May Report – Gleneagles
Register House Golf Club latest outing was held at Gleneagles on Thursday 26th April. In a first for RHGC in recent history we played over 2 courses concurrently (Kings and Centenary).
Gleneagles has hosted an impressive list of events in its time and can now add an RHGC outing to its midst. Whilst we played the same location which hosted the 2014 Ryder Cup (Centenary) I am sure we played in a different way to Rory, Sergio, Dustin et all…
Despite the interchangeable weather the location and course condition made the outing a success if not a little bit long for some players. However with 30 RHGC members playing it was a well organised and marshalled event which I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who played a part.
The winner of the Jubilee Vase with a Stableford score of 31 was Ryan Sloan, a fantastic score – congratulations! The runner-up was Cameron Martin with a score of 30. Ball nearest the hole winners are as follows: Kings 5th Hole – Greig Mitchell Kings 16th Hole – Norman Baikie Centenary 6th Hole – Thomas Grant Centenary 10th Hole – Ryan Sloan 2s of the day were all scored on the Kings Course by Elaine Wilson (5th), Chris Hislop (11th) and Norman Baikie (16th). The team event was won by Alan Gray, Chris Hislop, Steven Lugton and Kevin Stewart with a score of 43 (BIH).
Our next outing will be at Musselburgh (Monktonhall) on Friday 1st June, consisting of a round of golf and 2 course dinner. Further details will be published in due course. Please see below for some photos from the day.
